First Farralon 23' Offshore Pacific Power Dory Flipped Over
John Hoppe is doing a great job on the first 23' Farallon Offshore Style Pacific Power Dory. The hull is complete and he flipped it over recently. He will be using the boat for duck hunting on Lake Michigan.

Tha Farallon is one of the new offshore style Pacific Power Dries, meaning it has higher sides and a self bailing sealed deck for additional safety in rough water conditions. I'll add the information page when the new site is updated, coming soon. In the mean while, if you want to know more, just shoot me an email.

Home Built Pescadero Carolina Dory Completed
Here's a 14' Pescadero Carolina Dory built by Ron Mariano of Port Richey, FL. Rod did a great job and I'm sure he'll have a blast using his new boat.

Home Built Anacapa Offshore Pacific Power Dory Framed
Just got a link to this Youtube Video of an Anacapa offshore style Pacific Power Dory being framed up down-under. I like this video because it has some excellent examples of how to recover from small framing errors you may make when building your own boat. His use of small shims and wedges to fix oopsies are excellent and will result in a hull that is just as structurally sound as one perfectly fitted. I'm sure this will be a fine sea boat when the builder completes it.

New 23' Winchester Power Dory Launched
These pictures just came in from a builder in New Zealand. He has been using his Winchester for fishing along the coast and in some of the big, beautiful bays they have there. It's winter down under now, and you can see how pristine the waters there are. This is Hauraki Gulf, near Auckland:

One 15' Alamitos V-Bottom Dory Builder's Experience
I just received this email from a 15' Alamitos V-Bottom Dory builder:
Jeff,
We love the boat we built from your plans. It's been a year now and it's holding up very well. We're been going out of Oceanside almost ever Saturday fishing the kelp. Never once had an issue with the boat itself or felt unsafe in it.
Here's a picture of my wife Tami and an 8.4# Calico she caught off the boat to take 3rd place in the Oceanside Anglers Club 10# test line tournament.

Thank you Nathan - and Nice fish, Tami!
